Barcelona

We have followed Gaudi's work around the city, visited Gothic cathedrals and had Tappas, Tappas and more Tappas. The food is great, lots of bread, cheese and meat. Brett ordered an assorted meat plate and we are pretty sure we ate rabbit. Don't know since our server didn't speak english but whatever it was it was good.
We walked the grounds of the '92 Olympics....breathtaking! The city is more modern than we expected and much different from Madrid. Barcelona is fabulous! Yesterday was a soccer match between Barcelona and Inter-Milan. The city was crazy! People we're walking around singing hours before the game started, everyone was in their soccer shirts supporting the team. We watched the game from a local pub, it was so fun! The whole bar would sing together through-out the game, it was one of the most intense sporting events I've ever been apart of. We wish we had more time here. We have been non-stop the past two days covering as much of the city as we can.
People here seem to be more friendly than Madrid, but Barcelona is also much more touristy. I should have expected that but was surprised.
Have seen some interesting fashion: guys grow your mullets and buy your manbags, everyone has them. Ladies get ready for not only skinny jeans but ones with elastic ankles and waistbands. Also, there must be something we don't know about Spain and shoes. We have never seen so many shoe stores! They are as popular as nail salons and chinese restaurants at home. At least one on every block.
We are having a great time, we have taken almost two hundred pictures already! Needless to say our legs hurt and we are tired but ready for our next adventure tomorrow....La Paris!
Adios!
